La Herradura: Where free parking is a fact of life
At La Herradura is actually a treat when it comes to free parking. Along the enchanting beach and at the Dia supermarket, you can leave your worries about parking fees behind. You can also park your car for free in the municipal square and at Marina del Este. Be warned though, it can always be quite crowded. But hey, a free parking spot is well worth it, isn't it?
Almunecar: Free parking viewed smartly
Parking near the beach in Almunecar can sometimes be a challenge. Fortunately, we have some smart tips for you. The large parking lot at the Lidl, Aldi and McDonalds is your way to free parking. Do you park at the supermarket parking lot? Then that's also free but just remember to get an exit ticket at the cash register. In the blue zone you can also park for free, as long as you park your car outside the hours of 09:00 to 14:00 (on Saturdays) or on Mondays through Fridays outside the hours of 09:00 to 02:00. Just remember to keep an eye on the parking meter and check the times!
Motril: Free parking with a touch of patience
In Motril, free parking can sometimes be a touch more challenging, especially since the center is often lively. At Motril Playa and Playa Granada, you can usually find free parking spots, but sometimes it can take some searching. Also pay attention to the blue zone. Going to hardware stores or wholesalers in Motril? Then parking is often just free on site. Don't let the crowds put you off!
Salobrena: Free Parking in the Heart of the City
In Salobrena, free parking is a year-round option. On Calle Fuente-C and higher up on "the rock" within the old town you will find parking spots. Are you parked somewhere else? Then always check if there is a parking meter nearby.
