Are you ready for an enchanting adventure in the beautiful surroundings of Cerro Gordo? This hike starts at the Cerro Gordo parking lot, near the cozy restaurant of Mirador de Cerro Gordo. Good news: it is easily accessible by car from Almunecar, La Herradura and Nerja.
The route is a short loop, which means you will start and finish in the same place. The walk is about 2 kilometers and can be completed in just over an hour. As you follow the route, you can enjoy the historic point of the Torre Vigía De Cerro Gordo and experience the landscape from a unique perspective.
From this point you will have a magnificent view of the cliffs of Maro and Nerja. The sunset here is particularly impressive, and an information panel tells you more about the history and natural beauty of this area. With the highest point at 200 meters and the lowest at 20 meters, you can count on a varied terrain. The absolute highlight is the breathtaking view of the azure blue sea.
